Dale Balkovec grew up in a founding family of St. Maurice Parish. After studying away, she returned to the parish 25 years ago with her husband and children. Out of a deep experience of renewal grew her desire to serve and support families in loving the Lord and living the faith. A fruit of this was the implementation of the Family Formation Program, which she facilitated for 12 years. Ten years ago, following formation as a catechist for the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) she founded the Mercy Gate Atrium, a special sacred space for young children in our parish home. There, she and her team are blessed weekly as they “listen to God with children”; aged three to nine years.
