Three young adults of our parish, Felicity Emmons, Abigail Emmons, and Clarice Sinn will be going on a month-long mission trip to Montreal as Mission Participants with Catholic Christian Outreach from May 30 to June 25.  They will be working with the parishes of St. Willibrord and St. Thomas More.

Each of them will need to raise $3,100 through one-time donations.  Please click on the following links below to donate directly through the Catholic Christian Outreach website and to read a short bio for each of them.

Clarice has completed all 5 CCO Faith Studies while Abigail and Felicity have completed the first 4.  They’ll be running CCO Faith Studies along with other young adults from across Canada and training others to also run them.  The hope is that parishioners from these 2 parishes will in turn be able to run and train their own CCO faith studies after the mission team has left.

All 3 of them went on the Ottawa mission last year.   Working with St. George and St. Mary’s parish doing the same kind of work.

The deadline to raise the money is by May 30.

The girls plan to record their own video testimonies which will be posted on the website next week.

Canice Sinn is another young adult of our parish.  She is excited to spread the word through St. Maurice that she will be making a 3-year commitment to being a fulltime CCO missionary in Halifax.  Canice will have further communication in mid-June about her missionary work and will be looking for people to sponsor her with a monthly financial commitment.  Please email Canice at canice.sinn@cco.ca if you have any questions.

More information to come.
