The Finance Council has provided this “Tap and Tithe” station to respond to requests for easier ways for visitors and parishioners to donate to St. Maurice Church. If you use this station often, at the end of the year a tax receipt can be generated. You simply provide a copy of your donations from your bank statements (it will appear as “ST MAURICE PAR” on the statement) to the Finance Council Chair in mid-January of the following year and a tax receipt will be provided. Thank you for your generous donation!
The Heart of Giving What is Tithing?
A TITHE is a portion of income given to the Church and her various ministries and charitable organizations. Traditionally, tithing is giving 10% of gross income. The spirit behind tithing, however, is to choose any set percentage of your earning and contribute it towards the Church and other charitable causes.
Jacob then made this vow: “If God will be with me and protect me on this journey I am making and give me food to eat and clothes to wear, and I come back safely to my father’s hours, the Lord will be my God. This stone that I have set up as a sacred pillar will be the house of God. Of everything you give me, I will return a tenth part to you without fail.
Genesis 28: 20-22
Support the Vision at St. Maurice
Your financial contributions directly support our vision to bring people to encounter Jesus and know Him personally, to GROW together as His disciples, and to GO and share the gospel with others. Your giving helps us offer a wide variety of evangelistic programs such as Alpha, CCO Faith Studies, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Surge and many more! Your generosity allows us to support these programs with a dynamic team of full-time staff and volunteers. We are pressing forward radically in our desire to see people experience the transforming love of Jesus Christ!
