On April 7, 2021 the Province of Ontario announced a third Provincial Emergency and Stay-at-home order to address the COVID-19 crisis. They come into effect starting at 12:01am on April 8, 2021. The stay-at-home order requires everyone to remain at home with exceptions for essential purposes. It will last 28 days.
Starting April 8, religious services can continue but are to be limited to 15% of capacity indoors with physical distancing and compliance with rules on face coverings. For us this means 120 persons given our capacity. Funerals however are to be capped at 50 people by order of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario.
Health officials have expressed concern regarding the faithful congregating in or around the church before or after services in large numbers. Therefore we are asking for your cooperation in avoiding any gatherings and socializing as much as possible before or after our services (even outside in the parking lot). With the current stay-at-home order we cannot be doing this at this time on our property.
Thank you for your cooperation in all the many rules and constant shifting with restrictions. We look forward to worshipping with you in person as we continue in the joy of this Easter season.
Know of our prayers for you and your family.
