Dear Parish Family,
This is Laetare (Praise the Lord!) Sunday weekend. The clocks move forward one hour, the vestments are pink (or rose, depending on your preference), Spring is getting closer. Most importantly, Easter is drawing near. All of this is meant to encourage us along our Lenten journey, reminding us to persevere with our Lenten observances with dedication, love and joy. Even if some of us have been slacking, it is never too late to pick it up and better prepare our hearts for Easter graces.
Two years ago, Holy Week and Easter were “normal”, with high participation and many blessings shared. Last year, we were in “lock-down”. This year, we are at 30% capacity. We will need your patience and cooperation to celebrate Holy Week and Easter, considering our present restrictions. It will not be as easy as two years ago, but it will be better than last year. Because the demand for church attendance is higher during this time of year, we will open the registration for Holy Week Masses on Saturday March 20 at 10 am. Please check the website for the updated schedule. If you are not able to be registered for these Holy Week and Easter celebrations, we are livestreaming the Mass each day. So one way or another, we will all be able to participate, either online, or in person.
I look forward to consecrating our parish to St. Joseph on March 19th at the 9 am Mass.
You are all in my heart and prayers.
Sincerely in Christ, Fr. Tim
