Advent Mission and Surge

The nights of December 8 and 9 saw the parish hold its Advent mission, combining the praise & worship and adoration time of a Surge event with a series of talks by Companions of the Cross (CC) priests.

Grounded in CC founder Fr. Bob Bedard’s call to give God permission, the four talks by Companions priests gave parishioners the how. First, Fr. Allan MacDonald laid out six points to increase our receptivity to God’s plan. Next, Fr. Miguel Perez (previously a seminarian intern at St. Maurice) explained how we can support the works of the Lord in our own life. Finally, Fr. Joshua Grandmaison spoke on the Lord’s Dynamic, how our job is to initiate evangelisation and then trust the results to God.
